Dr. Erin Markel has been a practicing Doctor of Physical Therapy for over 12 years. Graduating from The University of Colorado in Sports Medicine and receiving her Clinical Doctorate from The Arizona School of Health Sciences, she focused her thesis research on knee pain in female runners.
After moving to Charlotte in 2011, Dr. Erin worked for a prominent Orthopedic clinic in the area before founding the PT department within Performance Rehab Associates in 2012.
Dr. Erin Markel has a passion for helping active people of any age, from professional athletes to the weekend warrior, stay healthy and strong.
Dr. Erin is a strength and conditioning specialist and McKenzie certified practitioner, well versed in many orthopedic treatments and assessments. Trained osteopathically in pre and post partum rehab, she also enjoys taking care of her momma’s to be.
Lastly, Dr. Erin is a certified vestibular therapist trained to treat vestibular dysfunction from BPPV, vestibular neuritis, to vestibular loss.
Dr. Erin is a mom of three herself, and has loved being a part of the growth of the fitness and wellness community in Charlotte. She is excited to continue this in the years to come!
