Dr. Nevin Markel is the co-founder of Performance Rehab Associates, owner of Markel Health Performance, a doctor of chiropractic as well as a certified strength and conditioning specialist.
Dr. Nevin Markel incorporates various therapies to treat neuro-musculoskeletal conditions including Chiropractic-Osteopathic techniques, fascial techniques, ELDOA and Biomedical Acupuncture along with cutting-edge rehabilitation programs. Dr. Markel is currently the Team Chiropractor for the Carolina Panthers, Charlotte FC and an instructor for the FIT Institute, teaching other doctors and therapists advanced treatment strategies.
Dr. Nevin Markel graduated Cum Laude from New York Chiropractic College. He has served on the medical staffs or consulted with the following teams: Charlotte 49ers, UNC TarHeels, Maryland Terrapins, Bowie Baysox and UMBC Retrievers. In addition, he regularly works with a variety of athletes including members of the NFL, NBA, MLB, PGA, UFC and Olympians in an effort to correct physical dysfunction and maximize performance. Dr. Markel strongly believes in a patient-centered model of care where the latest manual treatments are combined with individualized rehabilitation programs. These include corrective exercise, self-treatment strategies, and strength training. He currently serves as clinical director at Velocity Sports and frequently teaches clinical workshops and lectures on anatomy, biomechanics and exercise.
Dr. Nevin Markel is a dad of three himself, and has loved being a part of the growth of the fitness and wellness community in Charlotte. He is excited to continue this in the years to come!
