Dr. Savannah Powers

Dr. Savannah Powers grew up in California and moved to Charlotte in 2021 to attend Wingate University where she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. She found her love for physical therapy while receiving her Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology: Exercise Science from Vanguard University in Southern California where she played collegiate volleyball. After sustaining an injury herself, she quickly realized in her time receiving physical therapy what a gift it is to be able to assist individuals in returning to the things they love to do most. Prior to Dr. Savannah’s time at Wingate University she worked as a PT tech at a sports performance facility which ignited her passion in treating sports and orthopedic injuries as well as her passion for physical fitness and high performance training. In 2023 Dr. Savannah became licensed as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and is passionate about the implementation of those principles into her patient care.

Dr. Savannah loves to treat patients who are motivated to return to activities they love and who are eager to participate in an active lifestyle. She frequently incorporates other treatment techniques such as dry needling, manual therapy, postural correction and functional strength training into her treatment methods. Additionally, Dr. Savannah has been practicing hot vinyasa yoga for the past 3 years and has been able to see the benefits of those practice principles in her patient care.

Outside of her time treating patients, Dr. Savannah loves beach volleyball, weight training, hot yoga, reading lots of books and going boating on Lake Norman with her husband and her golden retriever, Charlotte.
