Dr. Nevin Markel is the co-founder of Performance Rehab Associates, owner of Markel Health Performance, a doctor of chiropractic as well as a certified strength and conditioning specialist.

Dr. Erin Markel has been a practicing Doctor of Physical Therapy for over 12 years. Graduating from The University of Colorado in Sports Medicine and receiving her Clinical Doctorate from The Arizona School of Health Sciences, she focused her thesis research on knee pain in female runners.

Dr. Kristin Royen received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from East Carolina University in 2009. After graduation Kristin relocated to the Northern Virginia area where she began her work with a premiere orthopedic practice.
Dr. Ryan Kelly graduated summa cum laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Before attending Palmer he received his bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, California.

Dr. Wes Pope graduated Cum Laude from Life University in Marietta, GA. While in Chiropractic school, Dr. Pope focused his education on managing the muscular and fascial systems of the human body. In conjunction with an Exercise Sport Science degree and years of experience as a personal trainer, Dr. Pope utilizes a variety of soft tissue management systems to help patient’s obtain their functional and performance based goals.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Dr. Luke Keane joined PRA in 2017 after earning his doctorate of chiropractic at New York Chiropractic College. Dr. Keane focuses his treatments on enhancing soft tissue and joint mechanics while incorporating functional neurology concepts in order to maximize effective movement patterns. He uses a unique variety of myofascial and joint manipulation techniques to treat his patients based on their individual goals, while empowering them with tools and resources to take control of their injuries independently.

Dr. Kristin Somerville grew up in Pennsylvania and has been a practicing Physical Therapist for over 6 years. She received her bachelor of science in Kinesiology from Penn State University. She then graduated from Drexel University with her Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2016. She moved to Georgia after graduation to complete a residency program focused on Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.

Dr. Mathilde Cros graduated from Wingate University. She is originally from France and came to the US to swim in college. After 4 years of swimming at the collegiate level, she joined the coaching side of the pool while working on her doctorate. She has a real passion for the athletic and neurological world. She obtained her AIB vestibular rehabilitation and concussion certification as well as her Big and Loud certification for Parkinson's patients.

Dr. Monica Dennis is originally from Saratoga, New York. There she participated in high school and competitive cheerleading until she moved to New Jersey to attend Monmouth University. During her time at Monmouth University, she was a member of the Division I cheerleading team, became a staff member for the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA), and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Molecular Cell Physiology.

Kristen has been working with Performance Rehab Associates since 2016. Kristen graduated with honors from Rowan Cabarrus Community College’s Physical Therapist Assistant program and has been treating patients here at PRA since.
Dr. Justin Resetar earned his degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida. Prior to becoming a chiropractor, he graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a BS in Exercise Science. Dr. Justin also worked as a massage therapist where he gained a unique insight into the musculoskeletal system and honed his skills in providing holistic care to his patients. This interest in the human body and its functions led him to pursue a career in Chiropractic. He believes in treating the root cause of a patient's pain or discomfort rather than just the symptoms.
