Dr. Erin Markel received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the Arizona School of Health Sciences in 2008 where she focused her research on knee pain in female runners. She has also received an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Applied Physiology from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Erin returned to the east coast in 2007 after spending time in Colorado and California where she gained experience working with professional and Olympic athletes. She spent her time working and researching in Washington, D.C. at the National Rehabilitation Center as well as sports medicine clinics in the area. Erin is currently a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, confident in treating a variety of orthopedic and musculoskeletal dysfunctions as well as sport related injuries of the recreational and elite athlete. She is also certified in McKenzie evaluation and treatment of the spine as well as in vestibular rehabilitation.
Erin enjoys treating a broad range of patient populations from the geriatric with balance and vestibular disorders, to the every day lifting or overuse injury, to post surgical cases of the recreational or elite athlete.
